Captain Aaron Finch has been trusted again to lead the squad in order to defend the trophy in their country. It is true that Finch led Australia to the trophy last year but it is also true that he has been under-performing with the bat since the start of 2021. Finch has averaged under 30 with the bat, while also striking below the 125. However, due to his recent record and excellent leadership qualities, he has been trusted again to lead the side to defend their T20 World Cup title.
