Italy manager Roberto Mancini announced his 39-men squad for the upcoming ‘Finalissima’ clash with Argentina and the UEFA Nations League 2022 Fixtures to be played in the month of June. Veteran player Leonardo Spinazzola returned to the Italy squad after suffering an injury in the Euro. Sassuolo’s midfielder Davide Frattesi and Empoli attacker Andrea Pinamonti have earned their first senior call-ups for the upcoming fixtures. Robert Mancini has picked every player who was a part of the Euro-winning squad apart from the injured Federico Chiesa, Gaetano Castrovilli, Rafael Toloi and Ciro Immobile. Legendary defender Giorgio Chiellini has also been named in the Italian squad who is going to play his final game for the national team against Copa America winners Argentina at Wembley on June 1. Chiellini announced in April that he will retire from international football and the Finalissima clash will be his last in Italian jersey. In a major setback, Italy failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar after they were defeated in the play-offs by North Macedonia. Italy will first face Argentina in the Finalissima clash on June 1st and after that they are all set to start their Nations League 2022 campaign.
