The players of United are now back to their training ground, Carrington. The training ground was closed last week following a sharp rise in positive Covid-19 cases and outbreak of same within the club. Players were forced to train from home until the outbreak was under control. Manchester United played their last game against Norwich City on December 11 in which they emerged victorious. Since then they haven’t took the field due to a Covid-19 outbreak within the club which lead to the postponement of fixtures against Brentford and Brighton. On 23rd December, the players trained at Carrington. Nemanja Matic took a dig on Cristiano Ronaldo on his Instagram post. His teammate Bruno Fernandes also joined his hands to troll the legendary player.
Usually, it is Ronaldo who posts a photo of himself with his winning team in training. He did the same on Wednesday. He posted a picture with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Fred, with a caption reading “Winning team”.

However it appears that Ronaldo ended up at losing side on Thursday in the training. Senior player Nemanja Matic was a part of the winning team and posted a picture of himself with the team. He took a jibe at Ronaldo by writing: “Winning team! @cristiano are you ok?” accompanied with a laughing face. It appears to be a response to the previous post of Cristiano Ronaldo. Well it didn’t end here. Ronaldo’s countryman Bruno Fernandes also made of CR7 by getting involved in Matic’s jibe with his own reply.

Nemanja Matic and Cristiano Ronaldo are two of the senior players in the squad. They are 33 and 36 respectively. So it was fun to see them enjoying on social media. United will play face Newcastle United in their next fixture.
