India and South Africa will play series in all three formats of the game. The two teams are scheduled to play two test matches which will be a part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will return to the Indian team for red ball cricket. India will field its best playing XI in the tests against South Africa. Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma will open the innings. Pujara and Rahane have been excluded from the Test squad for tour to South Africa. Virat Kohli is likely to be promoted to the third position followed by Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul. Jadeja and Ashwin will play the role of bowling all-rounders. Skipper Temba Bavuma will also return for the Test series. Dean Elgar is a regular name in South Africa’s playing 11. Aiden Markram and Tristan Stubbs will be there in the middle order of batting lineup. Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada will also return to the playing XI for Test series.
