How France could line up against Denmark
France have already been hit by the curse of the champions even before the starting of World Cup. The defending champions have lost influential players like Paul Pogba, Kante, Presnel Kimpembe, Christopher Nkunku to injuries. The latest addition in this list is of Ballon d’or Winner Karim Benzema. It would be very tough for the coach to field a starting 11 after so many changes.
Starting from the back, Spurs’ goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is all set to keep the gloves for France in their World Cup opener against Australia.
Coming to the defence, Varane is still not fully fit after recovering from a hamstring injury. The coach may not risk him against Australia. In his absence, Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate could start as the central defenders.
Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez are expected to start as left back and right back respectively.
