  6. Tim David : Tim David will be the perfect partner of Kieron Pollard in the lower middle order to accelerate the scoreboard. In 11 t20 games, David has scored 429 runs at an average of 47.67. He can also bowl on a part-time basis and performed well in the PSL this season.

  9. Dilshan Madushanka: Sri Lankan left-arm pacer Dilshan Madushanka went unsold in the previous IPL auction in 2023 as no team showed any interest in him. However, in one year, the player has improved so much that he will play for Mumbai in IPL 2024. The franchise bought him for 4.6 crore.
  10. Piyush Chawla : The leg spinner is a veteran of the game. MI doesn’t have many top spinners in the squad and therefore Piyush is the automatic pick in MI playing XI. However, Mumbai has also bought Shreyas Gopal in 2024 auction and he is also an option for this position.
  11. Gerald Coetzee : Mumbai Indians released Jofra Archer as he was not fit to play. Therefore, a fast pacer was required to assist Bumrah.
