RCB Probable Playing 11 for IPL 2024

The auction for IPL 2024 season was held in Dubai and all the franchises have build up their final squad for the next season. RCB management returned home with some promising buys like Alzarri Joseph, Tom Curran and Lokcie Ferguson. They already retained Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Faf Du Plessis and Mohammed Siraj for the next season and entered the auction room in order to bring in some bowlers. Who is the captain of RCB in IPL 2024 ?

South African veteran batsman Faf Du Plessis is the captain of RCB franchise in Indian Premier League 2024. Du Plessis was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022 Mega Auction and was named as team’s captain on 12 March 2022. It will be his third term as RCB’s captain.

1. Faf Du Plessis –  Faf Du Plessis has a great ability to accelerate the scoreboard in the powerplay. The South African batsman is a promising player who can take the responsibility of the batting department as we have witnessed many occasions on which he saved CSK from collapsing. He is all set to lead RCB playing 11 2024.

   

2. Virat Kohli – Virat Kohli does not need any introduction. He has been part of this franchise from the very first season and he is the leading run-scorer of this T20 league. There is a high chance that he will open the innings for RCB playing 11 2024 just like the previous season.

   

3. Rajat Patidar – Rajat Patidar, who plays domestic cricket for Madhya Pradesh has impressive List-A numbers. In the last edition also, he played consistently for RCB and scored important runs whenever he got a chance. It is high time that Rajat Patidar gets a permanent place in RCB playing 11.
4. Glenn Maxwell – Glenn Maxwell was one of the star performers for RCB after he was picked by RCB management for 14.25 crores. Owing to his form, the team also retained him for this season. Maxwell can complete the total bowling quota which makes him more impactful for the team. He also played a major role for Australia in the ODI World Cup. He will be a crucial player of RCB playing 11 2024.

   

5. Alzarri Joseph – The West Indies’ all-rounder was bought by RCB for 11.5 crores in the 2024 auction. Joseph is a big name when it comes to explosive all rounders. RCB have always missed an all rounder who like Russell, Pollard or Bravo. He has the ability to accelerate the scoreboard quickly. which makes him a regular in RCB playing 11 2024.
6. Cameron Green – Royal Challengers Bangalore traded in Cameron Green for a massive sum of money – Rs 17.5 crore just ahead of IPL 2024 auction. In the past few years, Green has quickly established himself as an explosive all rounder in Australian Cricket Team. There will be a lot of pressure on Green because he needs to justify his price tag.

   

7. Dinesh Karthik – Dinesh Karthik returned to RCB once again after the 2015 season. He has been part of two times champion KKR since 2018 and was released by his former team. Undoubtedly he will take the responsibility of finishing the innings along with Maxwell along with keeping the wicket for RCB. Karthik still has the caliber to play a role in RCB playing 11 2024.

   

8. Mayank Dagar – RCB always helps the youngsters and groom them properly as we have already witnessed how they helped Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel from the beginning of their journey. We can expect they might give attention to this youngster in the same way. Mayank Dagar has been traded from SRH in return of Shahbaz Ahmed.
9. Yash Dayal – The former Gujarat Titans pacer has been brought in as a replacement of Harshal Patel. RCB picked him for a whooping price of 5 crore. With this high amount, he will definitely get to feature in RCB playing 11 2024.
10. Karn Sharma – This 34-year-old leg spinner was bought by RCB for 50 Lakh INR. This leg spinner has represented such champion teams as CSK, SRH, and MI and his experience will help the bowling department of RCB. RCB bought him to fill the spot of Yuzi Chahal and we can hope he will succeed in the game.

    

11. Mohammed Siraj – Mohammed Siraj was one of the three retentions for RCB and this Hyderabad-based promising speed star has been a part of this franchise since 2018. He is very impactful with the new ball as he can swing the ball in both directions.
