Greenwood is the recent addition in the list of footballers who have been accused of serious crimes. Manchester United youngster Mason Greenwood has already proven his quality in senior football despite his tender age. The young England striker has the required pace, strength, skill along with unerring finishing ability which makes him quite the prospect. He made his debut in 2019 and has since made up 129 appearances for the club, in which he scored a total of 35 goals. Greenwood has made 24 appearances for United this season. The youngster has flooded the headlines for worst reasons. He has been accused of sexual assault and physical violence by his girlfriend Harriet Robson.
Manchester United forward has landed in huge trouble after his girlfriend accused him for alleged sexual assault and domestic abuse. In by Harriet Robson who has been identified as Greenwood’s ex-girlfriend, posted a series of Instagram stories in an attempt to bring the alleged crimes of the footballer to light.
Harriet Robson posted few photos of herself in which her wounds are clearly visible. Along with them, she also posted a series of audiotapes, in which Greenwood is clearly forcing himself on the young woman.
After posting these photos on her Instagram account, Robson deactivated her Instagram account. However the pictures have gone viral and are being widely circulated on social media. Fans are now slamming the Manchester United forwards.
Mason Greenwood has not yet responded to the accusations. However, Manchester United have issued a statement regarding the allegations against star striker Mason Greenwood.
“We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media. We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind.”
According to the sources, Greater Manchester Police is investigating the allegations.
