Bayern Munich and Senegal forward Sadio Mane is not there at the World Cup because he has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. Mane suffered an injury while playing for Bayern Munich against Werder Bremen. The Senegal skipper came off the pitch after playing for just 20 minutes. Bayer won that game 6-1. Sadio suffered from a tendon and will miss several weeks of competition. Mane is Senegal’s highest goal scorer with 34 goals.

It is a huge blow for the Senegal Football team as well as for the fans. Mane was going to play his second World Cup but unfortunately he has to wait for another four years now. All of this put Mané in good stead for a starring role in Qatar. Sadio Mane led Senegal to the trophy of African Cup of Nations for the first time in February. He also played a crucial role in the World Cup qualifiers.
