In the beginning, Sergio Ramos was excluded form Spain squad due to injuries and inactivity. He also failed to get a place in Spain’s squad for Euro 2022. However, that’s not the case now. The playing time of Sergio Ramos in PSG has increased a lot. He has played in most of the games for the French club in this season and also looks in fine touch. Unlike the last season, the former Real Madrid defender has been playing consistently at Paris Saint-Germain.

The selections of Luis Enrique have always been quite controversial. He has been accused of an anti-Madrid bias in his selections. Enrique is inclined towards selecting those players who fit the profile and needs of his system. After his continuous omission from the Spain’s squad, Sergio Ramos failed to get a place in Spain’s squad for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. With his omission, he will be unable to make his fifth appearance in a World Cup.
